Salty Sea Dog Half & Marathon

Introduction:
Keep yourself in top running condition this winter with Votwo’s series of Salty Sea Dog halfs and marathons.
The event uses the Geo Tracks GPS tracker to show the positions of participants on a live view tracking map. Participants start at different times but can re-play their GPS trace against others starting from a zeroed time, in effect, virtually racing each other.
These are self navigation, self supported runs. Participants are to use the issued GPS tracker and the Geo Tracks app alongside their own electronic navigation device to complete the route. A GPS watch with the GPX route loaded into it is highly recommend. Please make sure you read the ‘About micro events’ page before signing up.

The Overstrand, Boscombe, BH5 1BN - View Location
Course:
The run starts near Boscombe Pier and follows the coast towards Hengistbury Head. Along the river to Christchurch then back to Boscombe for the Half. Continue along the sea front for a lap of Sandbanks for the full marathon.

On the top of the map for your distance click on ‘Open Event Data’ > ‘Starting Times’. These lists will be updated once a week.

On each date the start time window for the marathon is 07:00 - 08:00 and the start time window for the half is 08:01 - 08:30.
